Speaking Set 7
Coming soon: automatic scoring. For now, you score your own speaking with the marking guide. Automatic scoring and feedback will be added later.
Before you start
- One warm-up task (not scored) and three scored tasks: two independent tasks and one integrated task (listen to a short talk, then summarise and discuss it).
- Each task starts with preparation time, followed by speaking time. You hear a beep when time is up.
- The site records your answers so you can listen to yourself before you score each task. Your browser will ask for microphone permission once. Recordings stay in your browser and are deleted when you leave the page. Nothing is uploaded.
- In the real exam, speaking responses are scored by two different raters.
Tips
- Do not write full sentences during preparation. Note 3–4 key words.
- State your opinion clearly in your first sentence, then give two reasons with an example for each.
- In Task 3, spend about one third of your time on the summary and the rest on your own view.
- Do not stay silent. Use phrases such as Let me think about that for a second.
