Writing Set 5
Coming soon: automatic scoring. For now, you score your own writing with the marking guide and compare it with the sample answers. Automatic scoring and feedback will be added later.
Before you start
- Task 1 (15 min): Respond to a social media post and a reader comment with your own opinion. At least 120 words recommended.
- Task 2 (30 min): Study a graph, listen to a short podcast, and summarise the three main points of the podcast, connecting them to the graph. At least 200 words recommended.
- In exam mode each task has its own timer and the podcast plays only once.
- After each task, you rate yourself with a scoring guide and see a sample answer.
Tips
- In Task 1, respond to both the post and the comment. Ignoring one lowers your content score.
- Use your own words instead of copying phrases from the input (paraphrase).
- In Task 2, support each point from the podcast with a figure from the graph: rose from 38% to 71%.
- Keep the last 3 minutes for checking spelling and grammar.
