November 14, 2026 e-TEP: Exam Day Checklist
The next e-TEP is on November 14, 2026 (9 days left). This checklist covers the week before the exam, the exam day itself and short reminders for each part. ÖSYM's rules and your exam entry document always come first; check them before the exam.
Times for the 2026 sessions: the exam starts at 13:45, and candidates are not allowed into the building after 13:30. Check the time on your entry document.
The week before
- Get your entry document. ÖSYM opens it on the candidate system (AİS) a few days before the exam. Check the building, the room and the time.
- Plan the journey. Find out how long it takes to get to the building on a Saturday and plan to arrive well before 13:30.
- Do one last full practice test at the same time of day. Start a full practice test at 13:45 so your body gets used to working at that hour.
- Don't start anything new. Revise your error log, your phrase lists and the strategies you already use.
- Practice on a keyboard. The writing part is typed. If you usually type in Turkish, practice on an English (Q) layout and watch out for ı, ş and ğ.
- Speak out loud with a timer. Do two or three speaking sets with recording, so talking into a microphone feels normal.
- Sleep. Sleep helps memory more than one more night of study. Keep your normal routine for the last two nights.
On the day
- Take a valid ID document of the type accepted in the ÖSYM guide, and your entry document if requested. Check the guide for the full list of accepted documents.
- Leave your phone and electronic devices behind. ÖSYM does not allow them in the exam; read the guide to see what you may take with you.
- Eat a proper lunch before you leave. The exam lasts the whole afternoon.
- Arrive early. Candidates are not let into the building after 13:30.
During the exam: one reminder for each part
| Part | Remember |
|---|---|
| Reading | 60 minutes for 30 questions: about two minutes per question. If a question takes too long, flag it and move on. Answer every question. |
| Listening | Each recording plays once. Use the time before it starts to read the questions and predict what you will hear. |
| Speaking | Use the preparation time to note two or three key words, not full sentences. Keep talking until the time is up; if you lose your way, use a phrase such as Let me put it another way. |
| Writing | You cannot go back to Task 1 once Task 2 starts. Plan for two minutes, stay within 80–120 and 200–300 words, and keep the last minutes for checking. |
